Flames kiss haired arms, licking at hamburgers as all around take sips of their fermented drinks.

The night air is cool, shirts get sweaty. People do kegstands. Other people smoke cigarettes.

My mind is a million miles away.

The meat brings me back to reality, covered with ketchup and mustard between two dry buns. Diet 7-Up meets Jack Daniels meets lemon juice meets my tongue. All is well.
